BRYCON ONE OF SEVEN SAFEST CONTRACTORS IN ABC NEW MEXICO
New Mexico OSHA and the New Mexico Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors recently recognized BRYCON Construction as being one of seven of the safest contractors in the state. The contractors were singled out by OSHA for their exemplary safety records, as evidenced by receiving a Platinum CLAS award. CLAS stands for Construction Leaders Agreement for Safety and is a designation created by OSHA so contractors can grade their safety programs against other companies. The combined incident recordable rate for the seven contractors was 1.2 based on more than 2.5 million work hours. That is less than half of the statewide recordable rate of 3.4 for building contractors. It is also 74 percent lower than the national rate of 4.3. Five general contractors, including BRYCON, were recognized; two electrical contractors were also recognized.
