BRYCON MOVES UP IN SOUTHWEST CONTRACTOR RANKINGS

In the April/May issue of Southwest Contractor magazine, BRYCON Construction moved up to 38th place from 63rd place in 2009. The magazine covers construction companies in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. The rankings were based on surveys voluntarily submitted in the first quarter by the companies. In the article accompanying the rankings, the magazine editors noted that “revenues from general contracting took a nosedive in 2009 as expected, down over 27 percent.” The magazine went on to observe: “At no other point in the 14-year history of Southwest Contractor’s ranking has there been as precipitous of a drop.” BRYCON reported 2009 revenues of $87.9 million. BRYCON president Bill Lemon said the upward move in the rankings showed the fundamental strenght of the company, even in the face of a weak public and private economy. BRYCON was one of only 14 general contractors in the top 112 listings that were based in New Mexico.
