BRYCON HONORED TO WIN 2011 SSLEA AWARD
For the fifth year in a row—and the sixth year altoghether—BRYCON has won the prestigious SSLEA award from Intel. This award, known as the Supplier Saftety Leadership and Excellence Award for Construction Services, is given only to those contractors that demonstrate a culture of leadership in safety, work ethic environmental stewardship and community involvement. Contractors worldwide must undergo a rigorous application and interview process to be considered for the award. BRYCON took the award in 2003, and again 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. “This award demonstrates BRYCON’s dedication to continuous improvement,” said president Bill Lemon. “In order to win SSLEA, we have to constantly look for ways to improve safety, and customer and employee satisfaction rates.” Some of the areas in which BRYCON scored highest was in safety, in the company’s recycling program to minimize construction waste ending up in landfills, and in our mentoring programs with subcontractors.
